Clarkson Reserve in Maylands is a wonderful spot in summer time or winter. Summer time you can sit on the grass and watch the world go by whilst admiring the stunning view over the river. You can also take a walk or ride a bike along the pathways next to Clarkson Reserve and follow it as far as you like. Along the way and at Clarkson Reserve you'll see an abundance of birds including Pelicans, and sometime in the river you might be lucky enough to spot one or two dolphins swimming.

âSuch a lovely park!! lots of BBQs, playground, a nice fishing spot and also a good swimming spot if you're up to it.i live nearby and swim here all the time. There's also a mini orchard with lemon, pomegranate and mulberry trees nearby for fruit picking in certain seasons.â

âThere is 3 bbq, 3 gazebos, 1 on a platform 2 sets of activity parks for kids to play on tennis courts, bowing club. Everyone enjoys to come down and fish, seats to just sit and enjoy the view and the accasional mozzy or twoâ

Overview
The kind of place you come for a slow afternoon rather than a big play session. There are two play areas, but the real draw is the shady grass, the three BBQs and gazebos, and the view over the river while the kids fish or take a swim. Easy parking, prams roll fine, and it sits well back from the main roads. Keep an eye out for dolphins going by, and there's even a little orchard tucked in.
