Best for babies and younger kids who love sensory and messy play, with a proper barista coffee for you. Parents make it a regular fortnightly stop and say the staff learn your name.

If you’ve got kids I suggest you go check out the Comoonity Play Cafe on Alma street. We went for the first time today and the kids had so much fun. They played for over 4hours and still didn’t want to leave! It’s well thought out with a cafe and many rooms with dedicated messy play, craft, music and party areas. Even the bathrooms are beautiful! Book in for one of those sessions on their website (prices vary per activity) or stay and play for $10 per child. We’ll definitely be going back and my eldest is already begging to book for a craft session next time.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

This is an easy win if you've got little ones and want somewhere clean where they can burn off energy while you get a decent coffee. Parents say kids happily stay for hours and staff remember your name, so it suits regular repeat visits more than a one-off. Best for babies and younger children, given the sensory and messy-play focus.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Allow plenty of time - kids have been known to play for hours and not want to leave
⏰You can just stay and play for a flat rate per child, or book specific sessions like craft, music or baby sensory on their website
🎟️Check the website ahead if you want a structured session, as prices vary by activity
πŸš—Sessions like baby moo and sensory play are geared toward younger kids, so it's ideal for the under-5 crowd

β€œLove love love! Can’t express how much I love this place. I’ve only been twice so far however both times have been amazing experiences. I’ve attended baby moo and the activities and sensory play is above and beyond! Everything is always clean, sanitised and ready for play. The food/drinks provided are always delicious. The staff, are so wonderful, caring and always make an effort to remember your name. 100% recommend!”

Overview

A tidy indoor play cafe on Alma Street built with the under-fives in mind, from Baby Moo music sessions to Mega Messy and slime workshops. Kids happily disappear into the activity rooms for hours while you settle in with a barista coffee, and there's Donut Day on Tuesdays and Sushi Day on Thursdays to break up the week. Staff go out of their way and tend to remember your name, which is why so many families come back fortnightly rather than just once.
