This place is great - whether you are super into gaming or board games - it is a great place. They have areas for you to play multi player console games think Mario Karts or areas for board games and games you can hire all the latest quirky games. And if you have ever thought about Dungeons and Dragons you can organise a beginners session with a super experienced DM to lead the game play. My kids took me there for my birthday (59) and my husband, my kids and I met Jake our DM who was AWESOME. He lead us through everything and we needed some hand holding as my husband and I had no idea. The couple of hours was great and Jake was the best. We all had a great time and I bought my own set of Fortress dice. They have food and drinks that can be ordered from the tables and everything was top notch - we will be back it’s a great place for family’s and friends of all ages. I’m sad it’s taken me so long to find this place.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with tweens and teens who are curious about tabletop gaming or want a screen-plus-board-game session. The D&D one-shots work particularly well for teens trying the format for the first time — GMs are praised for patience and storytelling. Not suited to young children; the venue runs best for ages 10 and up.

I brought a friend here who was new to Dungeons and Dragons, and I'm happy to say that there was a great joy in seeing someone's first game here: like being in a tavern, immersing yourself to a story and world even for a few hours, and my friend was hooked! Also brought my husband and another friend along as well who was happy to experience this kind of Dungeons and Dragons. Definitely will make it a point to play here whenever I'm in Sydney! Thank you GM Lucien for being such an accommodating GM. The rule of cool and just reminding me why I love this game even after 10 years playing/running it: it's accessible, and anyone can enjoy a few hours at the Tavern rolling dice that easy!

Booked a D&D one shot at the Dungeons and Flagons event with a group of friends - it was fantastic! Our assigned GM Rish was incredible, so friendly and patient and an amazing story teller. Made us all feel welcome from the moment we sat down. He even gave great recommendations to help us pick out another board game after our session was over. Really exceeded my expectations and was a great way for our forever-DM friend to join a session as a player.

Leash was amazing, this was my first time playing dungeons and dragons, dungeons and flagons was a very amazing first experience for me! The story was so fun and exciting, and Leash was great at dealing with my random curve balls. Can’t wait until next year to play again!
