“My family and I experienced Moonlight Cinema for the first time in Australia, and it was a blast. Even though we had a great time, it made me realise how much better we could prepare for future visits. The two key areas we need to improve are timing and bug prevention. The gates opened at 7:15 pm, but by the time we arrived at 7:30 pm, the queue was already massive. That’s how we ended up with seats right at the back. On top of that, we could only find a spot near the bushes, which meant dealing with tons of flying insects. Thankfully, they weren’t mosquitoes—so I guess it could’ve been worse. Lesson learned. Next time, we’ll show up earlier and take bug prevention seriously. Bottom line: get ahead of the game. Act early, always.”

“What a cool set-up. Could hear a concert happening in the distance, but thankfully not too distracting and movie sound was very clear. Paid extra for "connoisseur lounge" ticket which included a bean bed in a reserved area and an ice-cream. There are also bean beds you can hire with GA tickets. Some ice cream flavours ran out closer to the start time. The staff I interacted with were lovely and one went out of their way to make sure I had a spot with enough spare bean bags for friends arriving later. As a visitor to Melbourne, found the signage and website information very clear on where to go.”

“An excellent set-up and very well-organised event made for a fantastic night out. As first-timers, however, clearer signage throughout the Botanic Gardens would have made the walk much easier. We parked at Federation Square and found ourselves worrying we wouldn’t make it in time. That said, now we know for next time!”
