Birthday party venues for kids in Brisbane

Birthday party venues for kids in Brisbane

This guide covers eight indoor venues around Brisbane that host children's birthday parties: four trampoline parks, three indoor play centres and one arcade games venue. To choose between them, check the group size each one works with, whether you get a private room, and what there is for adults and younger children while the party runs.

Trampoline parks

BOUNCE Inc Macgregor has more than 50 connected trampolines, a three-tiered Cliff Jump, and basketball and dodgeball courts. Party bookings come with a private party room for 90 minutes from the moment you arrive.

BOUNCE Inc Hendra has a party room, plus a cafe and a licensed bar where adults can sit and watch the action. Its miniBOUNCE area is designed for children from walking age to 6 years old. The venue has free parking, is pram friendly and has wheelchair access. It can also be reached by bus and train.

Flip Out Strathpine has Olympic trampolines, party rooms and a cafe, and it has wheelchair access. Its party packages are for groups of 10 or more kids. You will find it behind Officeworks on Gympie Road. Outside of parties, it runs movement, balance and bounce classes for pre-schoolers, movement and agility classes for kids 6 and above, and a monthly disco for kids and adults.

Revolution North Lakes - Trampoline & Rock Climbing Park has a main trampoline arena and a separate performance trampolining arena. There are also ninja ramps, dunk lanes, airbags, an air track and a dedicated Kiddies Playground. It hosts birthday parties and runs classes. No party room is mentioned, so ask where your group will be based.

Indoor play centres

Chipmunks Playland & Café MacGregor offers three party packages, each paired with one of six party themes. A party begins with an hour in the playground, followed by an hour of celebration with food in a private party room. Packages include entry for 8 children, counting the birthday child, and reserved cafe tables for up to 8 guests. There is an on-site cafe with its own food menu. All party bookings are made through the ROLLER booking system.

Area 51 Underwood has a ninja course, high ropes, mega slides, VR activities and a small snow house. Parties get their own party room for two hours. Packages need a minimum of 10 children, and each party room holds a maximum of 14. There is also a Pizza Making Party, a 2.5-hour session where kids make and bake their own pizzas and still get playtime.

Tiddlywinks Dance & Play Cafe in Nundah is family-owned and operated. It has daily discos, a cafe and two indoor playgrounds: a toddler playground and a three-storey playground. There are two party rooms:

  • The smaller party room takes a minimum of 10 kids and a maximum of 18.
  • The Penthouse party room takes a minimum of 15 kids and a maximum of 30.

Full venue hire is available on Saturdays only. In the cafe, food is freshly prepared and nothing is deep-fried. Coffee is made by a barista, and the milks include full cream, trim, soy, oat, lactose free and almond. The cafe caters for many allergies and diets, including nut free, dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan.

An arcade games party in the city

Funhouse Brisbane City runs video game birthday parties for groups of 10 to 60. Party guests get unlimited play on more than 100 games for at least an hour. The private party room is only available at the Carindale store, so do not expect one at Brisbane City. If you do not need a room, walk-in parties are welcome and you do not have to plan in advance.

Before you book

  • Count your guests first. Flip Out Strathpine, Area 51 Underwood and Funhouse all work with groups of 10 or more. Tiddlywinks needs 10 or 15 kids depending on the room. Chipmunks packages include entry for 8 children.
  • Check the upper limit too. Area 51 Underwood party rooms hold 14 at most, while Tiddlywinks goes up to 30 in its Penthouse room and Funhouse takes up to 60.
  • Pack socks. Chipmunks has a no socks, no play rule for its play equipment. BOUNCE Inc Hendra requires BOUNCE grip socks at all times on the trampolines.
  • Book early for BOUNCE Inc Hendra. It recommends booking online in advance because sessions sell out.
  • If a private room matters, BOUNCE Inc Macgregor, Chipmunks and Area 51 Underwood include one with a party. Funhouse Brisbane City does not have one.
  • If guests have allergies or special diets, Tiddlywinks caters for many of them in its cafe.
  • For wheelchair access, look at Flip Out Strathpine and BOUNCE Inc Hendra. Hendra is also pram friendly and has free parking.
