Reviews keep returning to the Firelight Festival and New Year's Eve fireworks, and the verdict suggests it is at its best during scheduled events; outside them, reviewers describe a quieter spot for a waterfront walk, swings, BBQs and picnic tables, with toilets and water fountains on site and bowling and mini golf in the adjacent shopping centre.

Docklands Park Playground has far fewer reviews and a lower rating. Young children reportedly enjoy the climbing ring and hill slide, but reviewers raise maintenance and safety concerns, including sparse barriers near the tram and bike tracks and a tunnel whose cleanliness has been questioned. The verdict treats it as a stop within a broader Docklands outing rather than a destination.
