Rollerway Skate Centre - Newtown has a separate beginners room at the back, which is the least intimidating start for a nervous child, and the main rink is rarely crowded. Skaterz Roller Skate & Blade Rink in Eltham moves at pace during general sessions, so it is better for confident kids over five. Rampfest Indoor Skatepark (Braybrook) is the outlier: coaching-led scooter, skateboard and BMX progression from age five, with a foam pit. It is listed as temporarily closed, so check before planning a trip.
