South of the city, the southern suburbs guide names A E Young Reserve / Jubilee Park the best playground in Adelaide's south for its timber fort and separate junior area, though the toilet block is about 300m from the equipment. Its other picks are Jervois Street Reserve, with a fenced toddler zone, water play and a scooter race track, and Glenelg Foreshore Playspace, with rubber flooring and sheltered water play near the jetty. Heywood Park stands out for its Mini Ninja Course, pitched at ages 6 and up, with dogs welcome throughout. Burnside Adventure Park and Hart's Mill Playground were listed as temporarily closed at the time of writing.
